Activities
El Tur is a fantastic natural windsurfing playground, but there's more than just windsurfing on offer here.
Snorkeling

Moses Bay has two local reefs well suited for snorkeling, and a wreak for the adventerous. We will either drop you off with the boat or you can swim out to see a wide range of corals and tropical fish. We provide snorkeling equipment free to all those renting equipment or storing at the centre.
Stand up Paddling (SUP)
An incredibly simple to learn activity for those glassy morning and a great way to see the bay, or work up an appetitie before breakfast. We have a small fleet of dedicated SUPs from Gong, plus several other longboards which can be used as SUPs. Available to all Oceansource clients for no extra cost.
Volleyball
Just in front of the centre is a full sized volleyball court and a sundown game or two is a long established tradition here. Often followed by a quick swim and a cold beer.
Eating/drinking
Right next door to the centre is the new Moses Bay Beach Bar. It's open all day long and serves a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks as well as plenty of great lunch options. New for 2009 are some heatlhy local specialities to go with El Tur favourites such as Mexican Chicken Sandwich and freshly prepared pizzas. Cold beer always available.
The Fish Restaurant
No trip to El Tur is now complete without a visit to the town's newest and best Fish Restaurant. As we've said elsewhere on the site, El Tur is by no means a tourist town, and most of the restaurants lack a little bit of finesse on the decor and food - but the new Fish Restaurant is completely different. It's aimed at businessmen on their way from Sharm to Cairo and offers a very high standard of food at still very low prices. If you like good seafood you'll love it here.
Further Afield
Mount Sinai

Mt. Sinai is the peak where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments. It’s located just a hour or so from El Tur.
The best way to visit Mt. Sinai is to get up very early and drive to St. Catherine's Monastery, arriving about 3 hours before dawn. The climb is fairly strenuous (about 7 miles) and takes 2-4 hours. The view of the sunrise from the top is very special, some even say it’s a life changing experience. If that’s not enough, you can also ride a camel down (and you’ll be back in the centre by midday for some afternoon windsurfing!
