El Al carries watersports equipment in accordance with IATA (International Air Transport Association) guidelines. Therefore, the fees vary by destination. As a general example of non-transatlantic flights, the fee is 1.5% of the "FULL Y" one-way fare per kilogram; surfboard of up to 2.77 meters are charged for 5kg, and surfboards longer than that are 8kg.

Carriage must be arranged ahead of time with the travel agent or El Al Reservations.
