Sporting equipment will be carried free of charge if it forms part of a passenger's free baggage allowance. Normally this is 20kg in Economy, 30kg in Business class and 40kg in First class.
If this equipment is the cause of the passenger exceeding this allowance, we will charge for 6KG of excess for the first 15KG. So we do make a concession due to the nature of the item. Regular per kilogram charges will take over beyond 15kg.
E.g.. If a passenger checks in sporting equipment of 19kg. We will charge 6kg for the first 15kg and then the additional 4 on top. Total charge of 10kg.
The per Kilogram rate is determined by route but is generally around the £30.00 and above mark per kilogram.

If you have flown with, or know a good tip specific to this airline, please
let everyone know by rating it and leaving a report here. Some airlines
don't apply (or even know) their own kit policies so it's useful to see
other people's experiences flying with them …
