How does a SoloSports holiday work?

Punta San Carlos is a desert headland a long way down the Baja California peninsula. The nearest shop is a 100 mile round trip. Yet SoloSports offers an easy and dare we say luxurious way to visit this dreamy wavesailing spot. These are zero-hassle holidays of a lifetime.

Fly-In Holidays

Quite simply the best way to visit San Carlos. Your flight from San Diego takes just over an hour and gives incredible views of the Baja Peninsula before landing right next to the SoloSports campsite. Roll out of the plane and onto the water. You can sail the day you arrive and the day you leave.

US$2500 buys you a week in Punta San Carlos (8 day trip) including flights by private plane from San Diego. All your kit hire, food, drink (including alcohol) and everything else is included in the price.

An extra week costs an additional US$1900.  

Drive-in Holidays

The more traditional way to visit, and slowly being phased out, it is still possible to travel to San Carlos by luxury mini van. The drive takes about eight hours meaning you lose two days sailing over the fly in trip – but it is  a cheaper option, plus the drive is quite an experience in itself.  

US$1900 buys you a week in Punta San Carlos (8 day trip) including transport by minivan. Again, all your kit hire, food, drink (including alcohol) and everything else you need is included in this price.

An extra week again costs an additional US$1900.

Other Important information

1. All SoloSports holidays begin and end at the Harbour View Motel in San Diego USA. This is where they pick you up at the start, and drop you off at the end. You need to get yourself to this motel in time to meet their schedule. If you’re late they can’t wait!
