Accommodation
Oceansource has hand-picked a small selection of stunning properties along the North shore all situated within close proximity of the the main windsurfing and kitesurfing areas.
Our flagship property is a beautiful landscaped property with palm trees, tropical plants and flowers, well tended grounds, always looking fresh and lovely. The property provides an outdoor shower area, shaded storage area for water toys (windsurf or kite gear, surf boards etc), and plenty of hammocks for you to relax.
Beaches
It has a unique oceanfront location in Spreckelsville, right next to Sugar Cove beach (great windsurf launch spot) and walking distance to beautiful Baby beach and Baldwin beach. Sprecks and Hookipa are just a few minutes drive from the property and Paia town is only a mile down the road, with restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, grocery.
Kahului town is just a few miles away, but far enough so that the airport noise is much less of an impact.
Our other property is located in Haiku, which sits on the north side of Maui, slightly up the side of Haleakala. Haiku is a small rural village, with a town center (Post Office, gym, bakery, pizza shop, grocery store, doctor, pharmacy, video shop etc). Be sure to stop at the cannery on West Kuiaha, for breakfast at Pauwela Cafe (they also have a fabulous Kalua turkey sandwich for lunch). Haiku offers quick access to Makawao (approx. ten minutes by car), which has a variety of great shops and several good restaurants. Paia is approximately ten minutes by car.
Beaches
The closest beach is Hookipa which is great for surfing and windsurfing. Baldwin Beach is also on the North Shore, and this is a lovely, long golden beach
