Accommodation in Moulay & Essaouira
Most visitors to Moulay still stay in camper vans driven down from Europe. However the Boujmaa Beach House, Lawamas and A Maree Haute offer a lot more comfort and space to relax in. Both are available as a Bed and Breakfast package, or with all meals provided, prepared by a local cook.
Boujmaa Beach House
Run by the team behind Bouj Windsurf Adventures, this is a comfortable but basic 'surf hostel' located in the southern end of the village and about 40 metres from the launch spot. It has 3-4 rooms with shared bathroom, and a large open plan lounge and dining area upstairs with fantastic views. Outside there's a secure kit storage area where sails can be left rigged, and a BBQ/sunbathing area out of the wind.

Accommodation in Essaouira
The nearest town to Moulay is Essaouira where you can find a broad range of accommodation options some decorated in a very stylish traditional sense. Essaouira is only 20 mins away by car so if you are looking for something more to do in the evenings then please contact us for options. We currently recommend the following hotels in Essaouira:
Both hotels offer WIFI facilities and are within close proximity of the old (UNESCO recognised) part of town.

Where to Stay?
You can choose between staying in Moulay iself, or in the bigger town of Essaouira 20 mins drive away.
Moulay is a dedicated, hard core, wavesailing retreat with very limited facilities, Essaouira is a cosmopolitan former colonial town with a huge choice of restaurants, cafes and a wonderful ancient medina to explore. Take your pick... Either way, they're only 20 minutes apart by taxi or hire car.
We have spend a lot of time in Moulay and Essaouira exploring the accommodation options available and we're confident that we offer the best of both locations.
Note: We don't recommend any self catering accommodation. This is because Essaouira doesn't have supermarkets like we're used to in Europe, so cooking for yourself if very expensive. It's much cheaper to eat out than cook in, and therefore guest houses and hotels offer much better value for money.
